Emails Pop client error

Get the cx to log in at http://rogers.my.yahoo.com/ or mail.yahoo.com

To change password ed cx rogershelp.com/reset

If the cx is challenged from the beginning get the cx to echat.rogers.com

Put in notes cx is challenged

We also have a smtp tool on the ntsdportal page where you can put cx user name and password in there

It will show if the email will work in smtp and the settings are right it is an issue with the email client and off to tech x

How do I set up Outlook to get my Rogers emails? (POP3 or SMTP)

To configure a Rogers Email Account in Microsoft Office Outloo

 

1.     Launch Microsoft Office Outlook

2.     Click Tools on the top menu and click Account Settings.

3.     Select the E-mail tab, and then click New.

4.    Enter the Rogers email settings as follow: Your Name:

Your Email address:

 Account Type : POP 3

Incoming Mail server : pop.broadband.rogers.com
Outgoing Mail server :
smtp.broadband.rogers.com
User Name : Your full Rogers email address (including @rogers.com)
Password : Your email password

5.     Click More Settings

6.     Click on Outgoing Server tab and check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".

7.     Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" (Default)

8.     Click on the Advanced tab and change the port number of Outgoing server (SMTP) to 587, then click OK

9.     Click Finish

 

 

Note: This instruction should be fairly similar for Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010.

Mac Mail

Rogers Email Settings for Mac Mail (Apple OS X)

How to configure Mac Mail to retrieve Rogers emails?

Launch Mac Mail.

 Select Mail Preferences, click the Accounts tab.

 

Put your account description, like "My Rogers.com". In the Email Address field, enter your full Rogers address. Enter your name in the Full Name field.

Incoming Mail Server

The Incoming Mail Server should be set to: pop.broadband.rogers.com

In the user name field, enter your email account (without @rogers.com) and enter your password in the password field.

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)

The Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) should be set to: smtp.broadband.rogers.com. Do not check the “Use only this server” box. Click the pulldown tab that says “smtp.broadband.rogers.com. Select “Edit SMTP Server List...”

Check “Use default ports (25, 465, 587).

Uncheck “Use custom port”.

 Uncheck “Use Secure Socket Layer (SSL).

Authentication should be set to: Password.

Enter the user name in the field (without @rogers.com).

Enter your Rogers mail password.

Click OK. Click the Advanced tab.

Make sure your Port is set to: 110.

Uncheck the “Use SSL” box.

Authentication should be set to: Password.

Done!
